There are 2 main classifications of parts. OEM and aftermarket. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. OEM parts are made by, or for the maker of your automobile. OEM parts are original to the vehicle and share the same part number of the part that was originally on your vehicle. OEM parts are the highest quality part becuase they are made using the original designs and specifications for your vehicle. OEM parts are made with high quality materials and with the strictist manufacturing quality controls. OEM parts will fit, work, and last like the original part.
Aftermarket parts refer to everything else. Aftermarket parts can be made by anyone with any design, any materials, and no quality controls. There are some good aftermarket parts out there but there are also other aftermarket parts that will not work or fit out of the box. We mostly offer used OEM parts which have the best of both worlds. They have the excellent quality with the price that is competitive with aftermarket parts.
